Developers crack Siri’s security protocol to enable it with any device though there’s a catch
Last month we showed you Siri running on an iPhone 4 (seen above), but today the possibilities look beyond that. With the crack, developers could even work to implement Siri inside of their own apps. Of course, Apple could push a fix for this sparking another cat and mouse game.
When it comes to this crack you actually need a UDID of an iPhone 4S to get this working. At any time Apple could block the UDID if they see something suspicious.
Applidium has released a set of tools for developers to begin cracking, and says it will be fairly easy to obtain a UDID with them. Check out their post for all of the details.
They also found that Apple uses a ton of information when communicating with its own servers when it comes to Siri.The iPhone 4S really sends raw audio data. It’s compressed using the Speex audio codec, which makes sense as it’s a codec specifically tailored for VoIP.
The iPhone 4S sends identifiers everywhere. So if you want to use Siri on another device, you still need the identfier of at least one iPhone 4S. Of course we’re not publishing ours, but it’s very easy to retrieve one using the tools we’ve written. Of course Apple could blacklist an identifier, but as long as you’re keeping it for personal use, that should be allright!

How to Use Skype for iPhone as a Home Security Camera Monitor
If you have a small child that is watched by a baby sitter in your house, or just want to know what your really weird roommate does when you aren’t home, listen up! If you have a desktop computer or laptop with a webcam, then you already have a security camera.
Now all you need is an iPad 3G or iPhone that is compatible with Skype’s iOS app to act as the monitor. This way you will be able to see what is going on in your home using your iDevice, from anywhere that you can get 3G service…
Step 1: So now that you have the tools needed, you just need to install Skype on your desktop. Visit Skype website, it will allow you download the desktop version for either Windows or Mac. You will then need to make sure you have the mobile version for iOS installed on your iDevice. You will obviously need a constant internet connection to the desktop and Skype will need to remain open on your computer for this to work.
Step 2: You will need 2 Skype accounts. If you don’t have a Skype name already, just use the iPhone app to set up your main account, and use the desktop version of Skype to create the 2nd one. This 2nd account will be used only to connect to your Macbook’s webcam so make sure it’s a complicated Skype name and not to give it out to anyone. Once both accounts are registered, log into Skype on both your iDevice and your computer.
Step 4: Try it out! Open the Skype Mobile app on your iPhone or iPad and make sure you are logged in to your main account. In the search bar type in the Skype name that your desktop computer is currently logged in as and it should come up. Press the Video Call button and within minutes you should see what your webcam at home sees!
I love the fact that I can place my Macbook anywhere in my house and can take a quick peek at that room, even if I’m on vacation! It is important to note that I still have a grandfathered unlimited data plan with AT&T, those who don’t have unlimited data should use caution when using Skype away from Wi-Fi.

- First download the installer Here
- Then run the installer as usual.
- After that open KeePass Password Safe, pictured below is the main view of the tool.
- To add a new Database Password, you select Add New Password Database. Select save directory.
- Then fill the master password from our database.
- For added security, we add a key file, the way by checking the option key file. Save the key file in a safe place of your own.
- These tools automatically ask Entropy Collection for the uniqueness of our key file.
- After making a master password and key file successfully, it appears the main page of our Database Password.
- Okay, we try to add facebook password on this tool. You do this by clicking the icon add new entry. And input-textfield textfield as requested.
- Okay, the addition of successful entry.
- To know the password, we simply choose the icon Copy Password to Clipboard, then paste it in notepad (we were allowed to paste the password we have only a few seconds).
- Okay so many examples of the addition of a password in this tool.
- To reopen KeePass Password Safe, simply by double-clicking the icon and we will be told to fill in the Master Password and Key File.
With the password management tools like KeePass Password Safe, we need not bother toremember all the passwords of accounts that we have the internet, simply by remembering the master password of the tool, then all passwords are stored safely.
