This weeks tutorial is one that many people have asked me about over time... how do I lock down clipart in PDF documents for TPT?  Well, the long-awaited tutorial is finally here!

Heres the poll for those of you who are curious!

I wrote up two separate tutorials... one for Mac users and one for PC users.  The steps are totally different on the two computers so it warranted two separate write ups!

How to Make Items That are Easy to Cut!

Cutting out lamination can be such a pain... but if you make your classroom games/signs yourself, you can actually make them incredibly easy to cut! the cards that I have in the preview only took me three slices to cut out!

Here are the poll results!

Now onto the tutorial!

As far as cutting the lamination, I also recommend getting a nice paper cutter. I have one like the one below, which seems to cut nicely through cardstock/lamination.

As for next weeks tutorial, Im going to add something a bit more specific... how to make your own cut/paste items in powerpoint!

How to Easily Add a Border to Your Pictures!

Its time for another late night Technology Tuesday post... how to easily add a border to your pictures!

This was the closest poll ever I think!  It literally couldnt have been any closer!

This tutorial uses the program Picasa, which is a free program offered by Google (and I just love it!).  You can download it here.

If you already have Picasa installed, click "Help > Check for Updates" and update your version.  Its not entirely necessary, but it may give you some neat new features!

For next week, Ill add an option thats been requested by a few people: how to make an editable powerpoint that locks down clipart and other images!  For example, this freebie (which reminds students to write their name on their paper) locks down the border so you cant move it around or copy it to another program.

How to Make Easy Page Borders in Microsoft Word!

This weeks technology tutorial is something that is easy but SO awesome!  I have to give a big shout out to my friend Katie for showing my this one!  Shes one of my lovely co-workers and has the most amazing ideas!  And she absolutely needs to start a blog!  (Hint, hint!!!)  :)

This tutorial was by far the most popular on the poll this week!

Before I start the tutorial, I just want to take a quick moment to think about all the lives that were lost eleven years ago today.  Being from NY (north of the city), the attack really hit close to home.  Two weekends ago I went down to the city and saw some of the new towers that theyre building.  Theyre absolutely amazing, but its unfortunate to think of the events that led us to the new construction.

Im sure you already have already, but just take a moment to think about the lives that were lost.

Now, heres the tutorial for the week...

You can download this tutorial as a PDF by clicking this picture!
Note: This tutorial is hosted on Google Docs.  To save it from there, just open the file and click File > Download to save onto your computer!

For next weeks poll, Im going to add how to use both portrait and landscape lines in PowerPoint.  Be sure to vote!

How to Make a Collage of Words in Any Shape!

You probably wouldnt believe me if I told you that at 2:00 this afternoon, this post was almost completely written!  Then... I got sidetracked for eight hours (doing something fun and exciting for a friend... a surprise)!  Now, here we are again, posting the Technology Tuesday post so close to the stroke of midnight that its almost a Technology Wednesday post!

Regardless, I am SO excited by being able to blog about How to Make a Collage of Words in Any Shape!  So many people know about Wordle which lets you make awesome "word clouds," but today were going to play around with a fun website called Tagxedo, which in my opinion, is like Wordle on steroids!

This option swept the technology poll, leaving us with yet another landslide!

Now, onto the tutorial!  Head over to Tagxedo to play along!

Im having such a hard time figuring out what to add to the poll!  For now, Im going to add one of my ideas, but after I pick a winner for Part 2 of my 500 follower giveaway, Im going to start using some of those ideas in my poll!

In the meantime, I think Ill add a Blogger tutorial, how to add a "Pin It!" button to your blog!
